149. Age of Deception by T A White

This is the second book in this series and in this one our main character is on a new world and competing to become… like a warrior person? I didn’t realize that this book would be a competition/trial book. Idk, it was fine? We got some answers but ended with a twist that left me with a lot of questions and mostly just very confused.

150. Ruby Fever by Ilona Andrews

This is the final book in this series and in this one Catalina has to finally face against her big nemesis guy. So it’s been a while since I read the last book and I think that showed. I was a little confused by all the characters etc. but it ended really well and sweetly. Also I read this in basically one day so it’s definitely an easy read. Although I really enjoyed it, I think I was too far on the type train and my expectations were way too high.

Within the Sanctuary of Wings by Marie Brennan

This it the final book in this series and I enjoyed it as much as I did the first time.

In this book she sets out once again in search of what might be a new kind of dragon skeleton lost in the snow. I’m not sure I can say more than that without giving anything away.

This is the fourth book in this series that I’ve been rereading.

So in this book Lady Trent goes into the desert to try and breed dragons.

Voyage of the Basilisk by Marie Brennan

This is the third book in this series. In this book our main character goes on a voyage on a boat to study dragons. This time she brings her son (and his nurse person.. that’s not the right word).

2021.115 The Tropic of Serpents

The Tropic of Serpents by Marie Brennan

This is the sequel to A Natural History of Dragons and I have to admit that I liked it a little bit less. In this book we follow our main character’s second journey out to study dragons. This time she is traveling without her husband but with the addition of a female companion so the dynamics are a little different. Also this book gets much more political than the first one but I think it’s done well in that the main character doesn’t really understand politics herself.

I read this book a few years ago and I loved it so much I decided I would go ahead and reread it. I never reread books so this was kind of a big deal.

This was another book club book and shocker, I didn’t enjoy it.

So this book is part memoir part nonfiction in which we follow a particular man’s life whom the author follows throughout her life and her search for the meaning of life.

This is a nonfiction book about female… sexuality?

I learned so much and felt so seen by this book.. to the extent that I was worried I would have to return it to the library before I finished it (I couldn’t renew it since more people want to read it) so I went out and ordered it but it’s backordered!

This book! This book! I really liked this book.

Even though I’m not pregnant nor planning on getting pregnant soon, it is in my (far) future and somehow I’d heard about this book and requested it from the library and it arrived so I was like sure I’ll read it now even though it’s not relevant to me yet.
