This is the third book in the Dragonriders of Pern series and the last one I will be reading.

In this book the dragonriders try to figure out stuff about their ancestors and struggle with conflicts between the oldtimers and everyone else. However this time we focus mostly on Jaxom and his small white dragon. Continue reading “(28) The White Dragon // Bookish Blurb”

This book takes place two years after the last one and Thursday has decided to leave the book world and return to the ‘real’ world and try and get her husband back while (as always) stopping the world from destruction. This is the second book in the Thursday Next series (the first being The Eyre Affair). I loved the first one so much I was excited to pick up this one. I think my expectations were a bit too high but I still enjoyed this book overall. Again there was a general confusion most of the way through the book since nothing is ever explained. That didn’t necessarily detract from the book but it did make me feel like I was missing out on stuff.

The premise of this book is that Thursday’s husband is erased from history and in order to get him back, Thursday has to get the guy out of the book that they trapped him in in the first book. This involves Thursday having to learn how to get into books without her uncle’s invention and with the help of other book characters. Continue reading “(19) Lost in a Good Book // Bookish Blurb”

I don’t really know how to explain this book. It’s set in an alternate (parallel?) universe where people clone dodo birds for pets and time vortex(es)- what’s the plural of vortex? vorti?- appear randomly. We follow our main character Thursday Next who is a (for lack of a better word) secret agent dealing with literary crimes. After a very important book is stolen, she learns of a criminal mastermind set on destroying everyone’s favorite stories. I mean, are you hooked yet?!
