Hyde Park

CIMG6393aWhen my parents came and visited me at the end of my Scotland trip we ended up in London for a few days since I wanted to spend a little time there and also our flights left from there. One  of the things we did while we were in London was walk through Hyde park. I really don’t know much about Hyde park but it’s a famous beautiful park in London and here are some pictures from it. Biggar // Scotland

CIMG5422aWhen my parents came and visited me at the end of my time in Scotland, we ended up staying for a period of time with some of their friends in the town of Biggar. While we were there we had the opportunity to go up on the roof of a church and see the beautiful view. These pictures are what came out of that little trip to the rooftop. Falkirk // Scotland

Note: Please take this post with a grain of salt. It might be offensive to the mind and body otherwise. Also sorry if you were looking for a book-related post, there will be another one of those soon.

Another of the day trips I went on while I was in Scotland was to Falkirk. Apparently there is nothing in Falkirk and I kind of happen to agree but we went there nonetheless. It was kind of a miserable day (we went from freezing rain to snow and I was not properly attired) but I ended up with some semi nice pictures and a few stories so I thought I would share those with you.

Our first stop of the day was to the Kelpies:

Borders Trip pt. 6 // Scotland

CIMG1941aAnd finally, our very last stop of the (very long) day was to Scot’s View. This is the place where apparently Sir Walter Scott came for inspiration to be alone and write or something like that. Anyway, it was pretty (but not as pretty as I thought it was going to be) and I got a few pictures (although the lighting wasn’t super good). Yes, I am blaming the sun and not my sub-par photography skills.  Continue reading “Borders Trip pt. 6 // Scotland”

Sorry for the very long break from Scotland pictures. Did you miss them? I really like doing these posts but they take a lot more time and energy than my book posts. Have you enjoyed this week of posts? I’ve really enjoyed doing it. Anyway, onward to the post.

Ok, we’re almost done with this day trip. If you haven’t seen the other posts be sure to check them out: Part 1Part 2Part 3, and Part 4. In this stop we explored Rosslyn Chapel.  Continue reading “Borders Trip pt.5 // Scotland”

Borders Trip pt. 4 // Scotland

CIMG1934aAt long last (after an evening in Edinburgh, a very old house, and a beautiful garden) we reach Melrose Abbey. I don’t really remember the history of this Abbey except that I’m pretty sure some king got really mad and tore it down. Also some terrible things probably happened here but when we saw it, it was just so beautiful that I can’t seem to narrow down my pictures any further so you get a bunch of them. Border Trip pt.3 // Scotland

CIMG1817aJust a reminder, when I was in Scotland I went on a little day trip. First I spent an evening in Edinburgh, then we went to Traquair house and then we went to Melrose (a small cute town) where we were set free to go feed ourselves and then meet together later. Borders day trip pt.2 // Scotland

CIMG1687aSo on this day trip, in the morning after my evening in Edinburgh we met and then went to our first stop which was the Traqair house. I forget the historical significance of this house but it was old and we saw lots of old stuff in it. Continue reading “Borders day trip pt.2 // Scotland”
