Sorry for the very long break from Scotland pictures. Did you miss them? I really like doing these posts but they take a lot more time and energy than my book posts. Have you enjoyed this week of posts? I’ve really enjoyed doing it. Anyway, onward to the post.

Borders Trip pt. 4 // Scotland

CIMG1934aAt long last (after an evening in Edinburgh, a very old house, and a beautiful garden) we reach Melrose Abbey. I don’t really remember the history of this Abbey except that I’m pretty sure some king got really mad and tore it down. Also some terrible things probably happened here but when we saw it, it was just so beautiful that I can’t seem to narrow down my pictures any further so you get a bunch of them.

This is apparently where Robert the Bruce’s heart is buried.

It really was an absolutely stunning place and even though the weather was awful (I mean, what would you expect) it meant that pictures turned out really well. Sorry for this kind of rushed post. I hope you enjoyed all the pictures. It really was a very beautiful place and fed my love of old ruins.

This is not even the last stop on this day long adventure so prepare yourself for more to come.

 

Choir Day Trip – Camphill Blair Drummond // Scotland
