The Man in the Ceiling by Jules Feiffer
I was feeling a bit down and wanted something to cheer me up so I picked up this book from my shelf. I’ve read this a lot through the years and I still like it.
Basically this a novel with comic strips thrown in which follows the life of Jimmy and his family. Jimmy is a aspiring comic book writer but this book is about so much more. Basically it’s about family and being true to yourself and never giving up and that failure is ok.
I really appreciate how much this book is about family. Each member of the family is very unique and has their own personality and quirks and you feel like you understand them.
I think everyone should read this. It’s short and easy to read and I mean it does definitely have a lesson but it’s just so beautifully written that it makes me smile every time.
